( Read more... )It has been almost 4 years since Queer Eye for the Straight guy finished filming their final season. The guys promised each other to always keep in contact and try to get together as often as they could. After all they were like 5 brothers.
The FAB 5 would hang out from time to time but eventually they all split up and got on with their own lives.
Ted was the first to leave and that had been expected as he was growing out of the party scene and wanted to spend more time with Barry.
Ted and Barry both moved to Chicago permanently and Ted hosted his own cooking show.
Thom was the next to leave.
Owning his own company required alot of work. He had gained many new customers since the show had shown what he can do.
He eventually decided to expand north of the country.
Thom wrote from time to time but after a year no one had heard from him.
So only the FAB 3 remained. Nothing was really ever the same.
Carson, Jai and I were the ultimate party animals. We went out clubbing until the early hours of the morning and usually ended up going home with a different guy each time.
Somehow everything had changed not having Thom and Ted there.
Ted, being the sensible one, would drive them home and no one would have to worry about where they would wake up the next morning.
Thom was hilarious and when filled up with alcohol his dance moves were the highlights of the night.
Yes, those were the best 2 years of my life. We had done everything together and we all shared a strong bond.
So one day Jai and I go over to Carson’s place for a quiet night in.
“Look guys, I know that everyone has been leaving but I have to concentrate on my career no that the show has finished.” “SO i’ve decided to move back to Pennsylvania.” Carson said hesistantly.
“WHAT?!?!” Jai and I yelled at the same time.
“I’m going to start riding again and try to get a higher ranking” “Besides, my family needs me and as for the fashion career, i’ll still write my coloumn for US Weekly!” Carson shouted.
Jai and I stood there with our eyes wide open and our jaws wobbling on the ground.
So that was that.
Carson Kressley, Fashion Savant, Couture Queen and party animal officially left the FAB 2 on their own.
Now, don’t get me wrong or anything.
Jai and I were great friends and we got along really well but we always felt awkward around each other when we were left alone.
To tell you the truth I always had a crush on Jai. His striking dark skin, deep, brown eyes and the way he smiled at you.
I remember the last time I saw him when we were alone at this new dance club.
We were on the dance floor and he pulled me into him. I felt like I had dissolved. Our bodies had fit together perfectly and I remember thinking how great we looked.
He rubbed his smooth skin over my cheek and whispered into my ear; “Please Ky, say you’ll never leave me, I need you, everyone else has left and you guys were my closest friends.”
“Jai, I love you bro, you know that, but I can’t guarantee anything.” “Carson was sure as hell that he wouldn’t be going anywhere and look what happened.” I replied with a touch of sadness in my voice.
“I’m sorry Jai, but I don’t want to make a promise that I can’t guarantee to keep.” At that moment I felt like such an idiot.
Jai’s face dropped and tears started flowing from his beautiful eyes.
He lunged onto me harder than before and we danced for the rest of that night.
At about 4am I dropped Jai home. As he opened the door to get out of the car he looked at me and smiled. But it wasn’t his usual smile. It wasn’t the friendly smile that made everyone brighten up. No, the smile was a sad smile. The sort of smile you could expect to see on someone who had lost someone important.
I didn’t know what to say or do so I just looked down. When I was just about to say something he started talking.
“Shhh, I know that you don’t know what to say.” “I just want you to know that I love you, I always have and I always will.” “If you feel the same then tell me now.” He said with a tear rolling down his cheek.
I love him, so why can’t I just tell him? So once more I just looked down.
“I thought so, oh well, I just made a fool of myself.” He said stupidly.
“Goodbye Ky, I hope you have a happy life.”
I love you so much Jai but you’ll never know it. I whispered as he shut the car door.
We didn’t talk for 2 weeks after that night. I guess we were both heartbroken and mad at each other. I sat there wishing that he’d told me he loved me earlier. Things would have turned out much different.
So then I decided to call him to see how he is and try to sort this out. I called his cell 20 times and it said that the number was disconnected. I then tried the home phone, that number was also disconnected.
I started to get worried so I went around to his apartment. The door was wide open so I let myself in. The place was empty. No couch, no bed, no Jai. Nothing.
“May I help you?” a woman’s voice called.
“I sure hope so.” I replied.
“I’m looking for Jai Rodriguez, he owns this apartment, I’m Kyan Douglas and i’ve come to see him.” I said worryingly.
“ I know who you are and I know who he is, congratulations on the show. I never missed an episode.”
“Um, thanks I guess.” I replied quickly.
“I’m the real estate agent, Melanie Anderson.” She said putting out her hand for me to shake.
“Mr. Rodriguez moved away about 1 week ago and I was asked to sell this place.” she said looking around the now empty apartment.
Suddenly a lot of thoughts struck through my head. Was he really that upset? Why would he move without telling me?
“Do you happen to have his contact details or his new address that you could give me?” I asked with a shocked tone.
“I’m sorry Mr. Douglas but I had never met Jai, I was onyl told that this apartment belonged to him.” “Company policy states that we can’t give out our clients details.” She spoke with a hint of sympathy in her voice.
With one last look at the now empty apartment, I thanked the real estate agent and walked out.
I stood outside in the cold and busy streets of New York.
Where I was left alone, once again.
Ok people what do you think?
I didn’t bother to edit so i’m sorry if there are mistakes.
I finished this story a few days ago but I didn’t have a chance to write it up.
My apologies to the user i_love_jai as she wrote a similar story to mine.
I was thinking that I should continue with Kyan moving away also and then getting a new bf.
Jai would be in New York also with someone he had met.
Then what I wanted to do was have Kyan come back to New York because of a new job offer.
This is where my poem that I wrote earlier comes in.
They see each other and then from there I continue the story.
Please tell me what you guys think of that idea and feel free to give me other ideas.
